We have been appointed by Rockspring Hanover Property Unit Trust to provide project management and quantity surveying services for a rocket testing facility site in Aylesbury.

Reaction Engines’ Test Facility Assembly Building, at Westcott Venture Park, Westcott, includes design and construction, comprising site clearance works, cut and fill, ground improvement works, concrete plinths and foundations, all to house state-of-the-art equipment to be provided by Reaction Engines.

The project also features roads and hardstandings, as well as a noise and protection bund to the perimeter of the test facility, with ducted links to the adjacent assembly building.

Feasibility is also involved in the design and construction of a single industrial building which is being constructed to support the facility.

Pioneering the next generation of hypersonic and space access propulsion, Reaction Engines is a UK-based company formed in 1989 to design and develop the technologies needed for a new class of innovative propulsion systems.

Feasibility’s Neale Flavell, comments: “This is a very exciting project and we’re proud to be doing our bit for improving research and testing for future space propulsion. The work is progressing well and we’ll be keeping a close eye on how the facility impacts space exploration over the coming years.”
