We’re delighted to have been providing Quantity Surveying services for two recently approved ultra-urban warehouse ventures in Hackney and Brixton for our client, Bloom.

The Hackney development is located adjacent to 331 Wick Road off of the A12 and includes two units with a floor space of 14,045sq ft.

The Brixton warehouse will include five units totalling 35,360sq ft, located at 146-156 Brixton Hill and Units 5 & 6 Waterworks Road.

In line with our client’s core sustainability objective, a target for BREEAM sustainability rating of “Excellent” is set for both developments, including a number of urban greening techniques throughout the walls, roofs and landscaping which will focus on improving biodiversity in the area. Renewable energy will also be at the forefront of the development with EV charging stations and solar photovoltaic roof panels.

Speaking on the approved schemes, Feasibility Director, Seb Rose, comments “It is always exciting to see our client’s developments secure planning consent, especially when sustainability is a key aspect. These ultra-urban warehouses in London will create jobs and meet the demands of the modern city, with a focus on energy-efficiency and green features.”
