Celebrating 20 years of best-in-class construction consultancy

20 July 2021 / 10:54

As many of you will know, we’re celebrating our platinum anniversary throughout 2021, so what better time than half way through the year to launch our latest blog and take a closer look at this special milestone and the history of Feasibility Limited.

Platinum is described as strong, enduring and something that doesn’t tarnish, just like Feasibility and our reputation after two decades of providing professional consultancy services to the property and construction industry.

Late last year, amidst the many challenges and huge uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic, we went ahead and launched our celebrations, wanting to make sure we marked the occasion despite the fact we were all working remotely and unable to come together for a party.

Our party playlist instead became on online album called ‘A Concert for Construction’, which is still available to download here.

From Oasis to Miley Cyrus, and Pink Floyd to The Bangles, there’s something for everyone.

We’ve described it as “20 smash hits and dancefloor bangers to celebrate our fantastic industry – an album lovingly compiled by the Feasibility team for you to download.”

It was a nice bit of fun choosing the songs for the album, and we are now putting plans into place to get together safely and enjoy a real celebration. Whilst we’ve all grown accustomed to remote working and Microsoft Teams meetings, you can’t beat seeing your colleagues face-to-face, and the same goes for our clients.

Fortunately, we’ve remained busy during the last twelve-plus months, with many clients in the property development industry being able to push on safely. This has allowed people to keep their jobs whilst supply chains have been maintained and the delivery of new buildings has kept flowing. This has aided the economy and the fight against Covid-19 with new warehousing and logistics developments to store and transport essential goods.

Feasibility provides a range of services to the construction industry, including quantity surveying, project management and procurement advice.

We were first established in 2000 by Tim Payton as FSC Consulting (Birmingham) Limited and the company’s first client was Brixton Estates.

We re-branded in 2011 to become Feasibility Limited and over the years, our portfolio has grown to include a number of leading brands in the property development industry. As the clients increased, the team grew steadily to 11, including the full-time employment of an apprentice during the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We have since said goodbye to our Director, Dan Holford, but wish him all the best in his fantastic new role with SEGRO, a long-term client of ours.

Over recent years, we have celebrated a range of major successes, including our support for the largest pre-let deal at Heathrow for over a decade, and the delivery of Science Museum Group’s once-in-a-generation collections management facility in Swindon, where c340,000 objects and artefacts are now being preserved.

Feasibility also supported YMCA’s award-winning refurbishment of its Northfield Hostel, as well as the delivery of a major logistics development for Ocado Retail; a joint venture between Ocado Group and M&S.

Renowned for sustainability and pushing the boundaries of energy-efficient developments, our clients include SEGRO, Chancerygate, Trebor Developments and Tritax Symmetry, with the company supporting sectors including distribution, retail, motor retail, R&D and more.

Our founding Director, Tim Payton, recently had this to say:

“After a hugely challenging year for businesses across the UK, we’re delighted to be celebrating our 20th anniversary with our colleagues, clients and partners. At Feasibility Limited, we take great pride in our services and our relationships, core values that have seen us grow year-on-year since the company was formed in 2000. A huge thank you to everybody that has been part of our journey so far. Here’s to the next 20 years of best-in-class construction consultancy.”
