We’ve been appointed by SEGRO to help deliver a major Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) for Ocado Retail, the exciting new joint venture between Ocado Group and M&S.
To be located at SEGRO Logistics Park Purfleet, the 304,355 sq ft state-of-the-art warehouse will be the fifth of its kind, occupying a 19-acre site and serving the East of London. It will be the second Ocado facility in our client’s portfolio, following the launch at Origin, Park Royal, which serves West London.
Feasibility is providing Project Manager, Employer’s Agent & Quantity Surveyor services for the CFC, which will incorporate Ocado’s robotic packing operation and is designed to achieve a BREEAM Excellent sustainability rating.
Work is due to begin this year after we successfully prepared the site by completing extensive highways works and an enabling package.
Feasibility Director, Daniel Holford, comments: “The new Customer Fulfilment Centre will be a huge benefit to online customers across the East of Greater London, as well as creating up to 1,500 local jobs, a real boost for the community in and around Purfleet. We’re delighted to be confirmed as Project Managers for the delivery of the warehouse, as well as to be providing our EA and QS expertise. Whilst Feasibility works on a wide range of property developments, we specialise in, and pride ourselves on, delivering these types of modern, highly-sustainable warehousing and logistics schemes.”
