GLA industrial intensification panel

12 June 2018 / 12:07

We’ve been selected by The Greater London Authority (GLA) to be part of a panel of industry experts commissioned to review industrial intensification in London.

Our director, Dan Holford, will join contacts from urban design & architecture firm, We Made That, and property consultancy, Savills, to undertake a study of industrial land within the M25.

The panel will review opportunities and barriers to delivery, engaging with a range of businesses, agents, designers, developers and investors to better understand industrial intensification and co-location.

The findings will inform future guidance on the acceptability of developments that seek to make the best use of available space and promote co-location, both in terms of viability testing and deliverability.

There are approximately 7,000 hectares of industrial land in London, made up of Strategic Industrial Locations, Significant Industrial Sites and Non-Designated industrial land.
